Jon is responsible for PANIC ROOM's distinctive keyboard sounds, and is affectionately know as 'The Maestro'! His deeply sensitive playing brings a unique colour and mood to each song - whether it requires an epic hammond vamp, a raw Rhodes groove, or the most delicate of piano parts. 

Jon is also one of the band's main songwriters, and many of the band's most iconic tracks have started life at his keyboard! (or occasionally his guitar).  A prolific writer, his non-stop creativity was one of the original catalysts for Panic Room being formed (back in 2008) …And his passion and drive have kept them moving forwards ever since. 

One hallmark of Jon's writing - and playing - is his determination to try things differently, to break the mould. Perhaps this is inspired by his vast and eclectic musical collection; or perhaps it's just a natural anarchic streak!  
But the Edwards mark of mischief has definitely inspired some of Panic Room's more 'quirky' arrangements... and has ultimately helped them to achieve such great success in keeping things fresh. 

When co-writing with Anne-Marie - who confesses to finding collaborating a lot harder than solo writing - something happens, and the pairing works in some weird and wonderful ways.  

Their joint songwriting credits include many Award-Winning tracks: 
including 'Satellite'  (which won 'Best Song' @ the CRS Awards 2011).

♔ In a previous life (!) he was half of John-Paul Jones in a Led Zeppelin tribute band... (don't ask!)

✧ LUNA ROSSA 
Jon also writes and performs with Anne-Marie as half of LUNA ROSSA - a new acoustic project where the duo explore a more rootsy & bare palette of sounds.
Their debut album, 'Sleeping Pills & Lullabies', was released in 2013 followed by a second album 'Secrets & Lies' in late 2014.

✧ KARNATAKA:
Edwards was a founder member and one of the main songwriters of Karnataka, and toured with the band from 1997 to 2004 (when they split).

✧ MERMAID KISS:  
Jon has played as a guest musician for Mermaid Kiss, on the studio album 'Etarlis' and at some of their live shows.
